One night, the whispers revealed her own demise in a horrific car wreck. Paranoid, she avoided driving altogether and relied on public transportation, her unease growing each day.

Determined to distract herself, she threw herself into various activities, including organizing library functions and evening walks. One afternoon, while sitting in her favorite café, a sudden crash shattered the quiet as a car plowed into the café and into her. In the aftermath, she saw the driver was the young man whose prescient dreams she had read countless times. Her last thought was a vivid image of the library, its lights flickering out one by one.
