Last week I had the chance to volunteer at the through work with alongside some really amazing humans. It’s one of those experiences that I will never forget.

We spent our days painting walls, deep cleaning spaces, and helping however we could to make things a little brighter and more comfortable for the animals there.

Between projects, we got to spend time with the cats and dogs who call the shelter home. There are hundreds of them - some playful, some shy, some just happy to sit quietly next to you for a minute.

The people caring for them every day are truly incredible, doing so much with the space and resources they have. I’m really grateful I got to be part of it, even for a short time. 🤍💙🩵

We started at and ended the night with the most perfect sunset ☀️

Give me texture, give me color, give me a couple who can laugh one second and completely melt into each other the next.

I love building engagement sessions around places that actually feel like you. Not just “a pretty spot,” but somewhere that adds to the story. Somewhere that lets you move, explore, and just be together.

These two made it easy.

Meet Darla 🥰✨ The cutest bestest puppy girl there ever was. She officially has made me a “dog mom” so i’m not just a crazy cat lady anymore. I took her in as a foster to help out with Paws-N-Claws Iowa but ended up adopting her as I knew immediately that I would be a foster failure 🤍
