From their engagement session at the Iowa State Fair to celebrating their wedding day, getting to capture another chapter of their story was so special.

One of the highlights of their wedding day was the opportunity to photograph them inside the World Food Prize Hall of Laureates in Des Moines. The stunning architecture, elegant details, and timeless atmosphere made it an incredible setting for their wedding portraits. 🤍

Meet Jeff 🤍

Jeff is the founder and owner of Elegant Visuals and the guy behind the video side of things.

He started Elegant Visuals with one main goal: build a company people could trust. Show up, do what you say you’re going to do, take care of your couples, and give them something they’ll actually want to watch years from now.

On wedding days, Jeff is usually bouncing around with a camera looking for the little moments. The nerves before the ceremony, the random laughs, reactions during speeches, and all the stuff the bride and groom don’t always get to see happening around them.

His biggest thing with video is keeping it real. He doesn’t want couples to feel like they’re acting for a camera all day. He wants the film to feel like them.

Outside of weddings, Jeff works full-time in law enforcement and is a veteran. He’s also a husband, dad to two little girls, and probably spends way too much time looking at camera gear.

He takes a lot of pride in what Elegant Visuals has become and in the people who trust us to be part of their wedding day.

Meet Kelsey 🤍

If you’ve followed Elegant Visuals for any amount of time, chances are you’ve already seen a lot of her work.

Kelsey is the photographer behind so many of the moments we get to share, and she’s been a huge part of Elegant Visuals from the beginning.

She has a way of noticing the little things on a wedding day. The quick looks, the happy tears, the nervous laughs, the hugs, and all the moments that happen in between the big ones.

Her style is simple. Natural, timeless, true-to-color, and focused on making sure your photos still feel like you years from now.

More than anything, Kelsey just loves taking care of people and making sure couples feel comfortable in front of the camera.
