Why is wedding videography so important?

As a videographer, I’m biased toward the importance of wedding videography, and I could list many reasons why. But there’s one I want to share. Recently, while making a video for my mom’s 50th birthday, I found my parents’ wedding video. Though it was an old, silent VHS with random cuts, it brought me to tears. Watching that footage meant the world to me, and one day, your wedding video will mean just as much to your children. Imagine celebrating your 50th anniversary and being able to relive your vows, hear the speeches, and see friends dancing. These are memories worth capturing for generations.

BAILEY + BRANDON | THE BEST DAYS ARE YET TO COME

Some love stories begin with a spark, but Bailey and Brandon’s began with an incredible friendship. They met in college and spent years as best friends, building a foundation of trust, laughter, and countless memories before realizing they were meant for something more. After dancing together at a friend’s wedding, they couldn’t ignore what had been growing between them, and a conversation just one week later changed everything.

For Bailey, it didn’t take long to know Brandon was the one, maybe she even knew before they started dating. Their love has always felt natural, rooted in friendship and strengthened by every season they’ve shared together. Brandon later proposed on their favorite walking trail in downtown Des Moines, where both of their families were waiting to celebrate one of the most meaningful moments of their lives.

Whether they’re cooking dinner at home, spending time with family and friends, traveling, golfing, playing pickleball, or enjoying weekends at the lake, Bailey and Brandon have built a life centered on joy, laughter, and simply being together. Today, they begin their greatest adventure yet, surrounded by the people they love most.
