Hello! Let me reintroduce myself…
My name is Rozlynn, and I have alopecia. This page was formerly known as “Bald Gal Photography” which was fitting at the time; as I was a bald gal, doing photography. 👩🦲
Behind the scenes, I have been working hard on my hair growth journey. I tried just about everything; from minoxidil, antihistamines, oils, scalp solutions, and even shots in my scalp to promote hair growth. Unfortunately, there was little to no growth with these methods. I began to accept the fact I’d be bald for the unforeseen future. 🫤
But then, I met with the wonderful team of dermatologists at Radiant Complexions Dermatology. They introduced me to a newly-approved FDA drug called Olumiant. Olumiant is a JAK inhibitor that blocks the immune system from attacking hair follicles, which is what causes hair loss for those with alopecia. I have since been on Olumiant for a little over a year, and have seen significant hair growth. Now, my hair is past my shoulders! 💁♀️
Since I am no longer a “bald gal” I wanted a change for my photography brand, while still paying tribute to my hair loss journey. This is how I came up with “Rozlynn’s Radiant Photography” in which the word “Radiant” points to the wonderful team of professionals at Radiant Complexions Dermatology, who helped me achieve my hair growth dreams. Although alopecia currently has no cure, meaning it is a life-long disease, JAK inhibitors like Olumiant can help people suffering from alopecia feel like themselves again, including myself. 😌
