The Pecue Family ✨

Sierra reached out to me for a dual purpose session to document their family, as well as celebrate Nora turning 1! How sweet is this little family, like are you kidding me?!

We last minute changed their session from a Sunday to Saturday, and thank goodness we did, because it ended up pouring the entire day Sunday! Sometimes the stars really do align just right - we had the perfect weather for them Saturday.

MODEL CALL: Calling a family who romanticizes their life. ☀️

I’m planning a 90s summer session and I want to spend a real afternoon with you; not posed or rushed. Just you. I’m picturing a yard with a garden, a porch swing or hammock, maybe some chickens. Young kids running barefoot. Mom in a whimsy dress pulling snap peas, handing out snacks, kissing booboos, pushing someone on the swing. The kind of afternoon that already feels like a memory while it’s happening.

What I’m looking for: Family of 4+ with young kids, outdoor space with character (garden, playset, porch, bonus points for chickens and other loved pets), A willingness to just live your afternoon while I follow you around.

Throwing it back to my very first wedding, and the story of how it happened is one of my favorites to tell.

Their original photographer fell through just weeks before the big day. A mutual acquaintance knew I was starting my photography business and reached out to see if I was interested. I was. But I was also terrified.

I made sure they knew I had never shot a wedding before and gave them a way out. Thankfully, they trusted me anyway, and I believed in myself enough to say yes.

It’s still one of my favorite weddings I’ve ever had the privilege of shooting. Haley and Ryan were so laid back and so full of love. The kind of couple that makes you forget you were ever nervous.

I’m so grateful this opportunity landed in front of me, because that’s where my love for photographing love stories began.
