Using a slow shutter speed I was able to transition the facade of a building in Tokyo into an abstract urban landscape on a warm fall day. With the lines of the building change showing the movement and allowing the eye to transition through the photograph. With the Live ND in the .cameras it made this creative idea a breeze.

Walking around the sand dunes of Death Valley National Park gives the opportunity to experience varying conditions with the light and shadows of the surface. While walking across the hardpan between sand dunes I looked towards the sunrise and noticed how the early light was illuminating the surface. During a fall visit to Chicago the color of the leaves of Grant Park were starting to show as the city transitioned from summer to winter. From a perspective on a building along Michigan Avenue I was able to view these colors from above the tree line. With a longer lens I was able to isolate the pavilion, building facades and the colors of the season blending them into one photograph.

When you think of Tokyo one of the things which comes to mind is the bright lights in different areas of the metro area. To help convey this I tried a little intentional camera movement (ICM) during my visit. By moving the camera the brightness of the lights starts to show patterns in the photograph taken. In this location in Shinjuku City I used a vertical movement to feature the height of the buildings with the lights.
