One of Denver’s best night clubs The Beacon is now offering weddings, so naturally we had to do a mock wedding with the most awesome already happily married couple!

This was so fun to put together. We already had the couple and all their badass friends so a few additional details and vibes were brought thanks to Matchbook Weddings and Events ♥️

I’m obsessed with the yellow beehive room for getting ready, the outside ceremony space is eclectic and cozy and the dance floor speaks for itself. The guests dressed in their best boho burning man attire, more of this please 😍

Can’t wait to book some weddings here, a space like this is totally up my alley 😎

I finally got to see what this beautiful aspen tree structure in the middle of Denver was all about Populus™ 😍

Melanie & Brandon celebrated their marriage at Stellar Jay located at the very top of Populus™ it was stunning! The staff here was 10/10, food also and can’t forget the views, more weddings here please 🤗

Aspen trees are my favorite trees (really all trees are) so I was super excited to learn that the name Populus is the scientific name for Aspen trees ♥️

Shout out to Aspen & Vail Event Producer (perfect company name for this location ☺️) for helping plan their celebration!

And just like that it is fall 🙃

October will forever be a time of change, not just the leaves turning shades of orange and yellow but a month where my life seems to change too.

12 years ago this month I moved to Colorado. After a 3000 mile road trip trying to find a city that I wanted to start my wedding photography business I ended up here, this very backdrop and the cute little city sold me. I guess Colorado was going to be a place I planted roots.

9 years ago October was the start of my new life, it wasn’t an ending really but more my beginning. A life where I had to learn to walk alone, make decisions alone, comfort myself alone and do life alone for the first time ever.

7 years ago this October I have finished my wedding photography season and then flew to new countries or the same country to live my life abroad for the winter and spring. I now can’t imagine any other way of living my life.

October has been the beginning and ending of a lot of chapters in my life. There is no perfect timing for any of life’s challenges but if something has to change why not be in October, along with the leaves falling I too can fall along with them. There is beauty in shedding what isn’t for you anymore, summer always comes and with that bright new shiney leaves.

October you will always be my favorite ♥️

These two wrote long thoughtful letters to every single one of their guests (even their dog 🥲) and surprised them with the letters at their reception. It was so special, they are so special.

I felt so honored to be their photographer…I too got a sweet letter ♥️
