Growing up I didn’t go to the rodeo or even know that there was a MLK rodeo until I moved to Denver, 18 years ago.
Last year I was blessed to take photos for Bill Pickett Invitation Rodeo on MLK day. What a surprise to see your work being used. Photos that I had taken at last year’s MLK rodeo are being use for the Bill Pickett Rodeo website.
Bill Pickett Invitation Rodeo is celebrating its 40th year. The BPIR rodeo tour will be starting this Monday, January 15 on MLK day in Denver CO.
I’m also looking forward to photographing more rodeo this coming summer.
It’s going to be a good year.📸

Hopefully not a photo I like to take again.

Lord I hear you, you have my attention!
Thank you for your protection this morning.
You’re the God of miracle, even when I’m faithless, You remain faithful.”
On my way to work this morning at 3am my left front tire had a blowout at 70mph.
I lost total control of the vehicle while staring at the median divided and trying not to hit others cars.
After coming to a complete stop on the right side of the freeway.
I’m said thank you Lord.
Emotionally a wreck but physically I’m ok.
Thank you for taking the wheel and protecting me.

It was a busy weekend with the camera gear.
Thursday was State Volleyball 1st round, Friday was 2nd round of 5a State football and Saturday was 5a State soccer finals.
Sunday was edited and getting some rest.
Until next week, I will be doing some more photo editing, looking to improve my photographing to tell the story of what’s happening.
