“Built to Last, Forgotten Anyway.”
Sego Canyon Ghost Town is an abandoned coal mining town in Grand County, Utah, in the Book Cliffs. This area was Inhabited from 1910–1955. The site now features remnants of stone foundations, the former boarding house, a cemetery, and nearby prehistoric rock art.
The old building in the footage is the American fuel company store. From what I understand it was built in 1910 and served as a commissary and general store for the coal miners and their families.
Still photographs of this area coming soon. Thank you.
