Why is Anecdote closed for a few weeks?
•
As many of you know, Anecdote's Studio Annex is the film element added to the Creatives Cafe right before the pandemic. Not only is the small studio space available for rent, but I also provide film services under this branch of the biz: typically Producing, Directing, and Art Department. Most recently I had the privilege of working on (thanks, !) and got to build a whole interior set (pictures to come) in Studio Annex.

These 2 weeks I'm working on a feature film in Wyoming called Zero Road as Set Dresser/Art Dept. Here's a sneak peek of an emergency prop I made for it the other day. (Turns out you can't get an out-of-season pomegranate in WY, so I leaned on my pastry skills and broke out the gum paste and food dye to throw this together in a parking lot!)

Post-film-shoot I'll be traveling again to VT and NH where I'll be making custom wedding pastries, and then I'm back for a spell to revive events and bar service at Anecdote (yes, events are returning and I'm working on some wild ideas!).

The pandemic created the need for a lot of pivoting to keep paying off business bills, so please check the website to check for temporary closings before placing orders until I can afford to hire staff again and cover both sides of the business. I'm still seeking an independent coffee business to co-op/share the cafe space with, so please reach out with any interest or leads, and if you need Art Dept help for your film projects, DM me 'cause I'd love to work with you!
