Film magic from our last wedding. With bittersweetness, we’re closing our books. It’s been nothing short of an amazing 6 years photographing weddings.

We had no idea this little venture would take us all over the world—from Iceland to Ireland—and would deepen our own partnership in ways that only working together can. This business has been a blessing. And I’m so proud of everything we accomplished to pursue an art form we feel deeply is so important. From breastfeeding my son in a coat closet during toasts to working full-time jobs during the week to make ends meet, we really gave this our all.

And of course, we couldn’t have done it without all of you, our incredible couples and the community who have invested in us with encouraging words, referrals, time and creative talent. Thank you so much.

We’re sad to let this go but we know it’s time to reinvest our energy inward; to our son, our family, and other creative calls that have taken a backseat these last six years.

Even though 2022 is our last season of photographing weddings, photography is very much still my life form, and I will be taking on motherhood and family sessions as my schedule allows—stay connected with me and our family on my personal account

We hope to keep in touch with all of you!

All the good things,
Mike & Mandi

These images might be the ones I’m most proud of this year. And if it hadn’t down-poured, I probably wouldn’t have gotten them. C+H had originally planned an outside dinner reception but nature had other plans 🌬Their planner & coordinator had to make a HARD pivot and move a 100+ person dinner setup—tables, chairs, place settings, flowers—inside. I’ve never seen such incredible adaptation! Plus, Kelly was still able to preserve C+H’s original reception vision—a warm, dreamy palette. Despite being inside, it was still STUNNING. So I have to dedicate this post to because these images wouldn’t exist without her. 🥲

A privilege to witness the strength and beauty of this love.

The most unnecessary worry most couples have when planning their wedding:
⛈🌨🌬🌡
The weather

For real, this is the one thing you DON’T need to worry about when planning your wedding. Here’s why:
👉🏽 because you’ve hired a dream team of vendors, including a planner or coordinator, whose JOB it is to make sure your wedding day runs smoothly and beautifully no matter the forecast—we’re like USPS for matrimony. 😉
👉🏽 because you WILL have a backup plan and said badass planner or coordinator like will have a backup for the backup plan, your venue will also have a backup plan, and you guessed it: your photographers will too.
👉🏽 and you saw this coming: because you can’t control the weather. No amount of Farmer’s Almanac consulting will prevent Mother Earth from doing her thing and that’s OK! The elements are beautiful and natural (not to mention good luck 🍀) and add a vibe or mood to your day that you can’t achieve with signage, centerpieces or color-coordinated napkins. Just like on an ordinary day: embrace the unpredictable and thank the universe for blessing your one, wild, beautiful life.
