A pro tip for anyone who owns a camera of any capacity: remember to take photos of your elders.

For those who do not know what my day job is, I work with senior citizens in the senior housing industry in Denver, Colorado. The woman in the hat is one of my residents who hired me to photograph her daughter’s wedding. It was such an honor to share my talents with my resident and their family. Just think, every photo of a guest looking dapper and dressed to the nines at an event may be their best most recent photo. I love capturing the candid images of seniors. Maybe I’m on to something here? Perhaps a new project for 2022? We’ll see!

How is it December? How do we only have 22 days left of 2021?
I’m starting early on one of my 2022 goals of posting more of my work on social media. Turns out, when I look at my year in review I’m actually proud and a bit impressed with what I captured.
Thank you to all of my repeat clients, my friends, my family, my referral sources - I may not have been a full time photographer in close to 3 years, but I still love it just as much as I did when so first started taking portraits at 14-years-old. If this time away from my camera has allowed me to learn anything, it’s that I am being more selective in my work. I hope to share more of my personal (non-portrait) photography more in the upcoming year.

I am beyond excited to share my first magazine publication in Colorado! Featuring a spectacular couple that gave me the opportunity to document their extraordinary wedding day at the Denver Burger Battle last August.

This is certainly a bucket list item, and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to check that bucket list checkbox.
