Dear Friends and Famiky. NBC will be coming to my place of work since Denver Public School is filing against ICE. I am not sure when it will air but I encourage you to watch as this is another point or aspect of the immigration issue. I am on the frontlines and they are literally filming in my office, the library. This issue is not so black and white and I am directly affected. It’s super hard being a go to or safe adult when things are so unknown. This is my world and I am in the frontlines lines along with beautiful colleagues and students. All I ask is for empathy regardless of your political position. This is hard and not so black and white. I ask for support, love and kindness as this struggle is real and I am not labeled as an “immigrant.” Finally, if you don’t have anything nice to say, please don’t!
