For 2026 on of my goals is to edit and post more than I did last year. I kind of fell into a slump and took some time away from editing in 2025. Just because I wasn’t editing doesn’t mean I didn’t take any trips or photos. So this year I am determined to get back into a rhythm of editing and sharing my work. First up is a panorama shot of a bucket list place for me. Ever since moving to Colorado in 2023 and looking at all the places I could go this hike and lake were on my radar. And boy it didn’t disappoint. I definitely need to get back down and explore more of SW CO cause views like this are what I live for.

I wasn’t able to see the lights last night but I’ve been fortunate to see them on a few occasions. The aurora will always be such an amazing thing to witness.

The other day I spent some time at Rocky Mountain National Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge. As we were leaving the park I spotted this beautiful Red-tailed hawk having what I believe is a gopher snake as a meal. I probably watched this bird for a good half an hour or so before it hopped on the other side of the wall it was perched on. It was such a treat to end the morning outing.

Drangarnir quintessential Faroes view.

Unfortunately this hike is now a permit once hike and we were not able to snag one that worked with our schedule. However we were able to stop and take some pics from afar. I like how this panoramic view also includes a fishing vessel next to several salmon farms. Fishing is one of the most important industries for the Faroese people which seems obvious given they are on a series of islands.

The American Bison.

I spent a little time the other day watching the heard at Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge during a snowy afternoon. I saw quite a few photographers out but not many other people.
