We drove to Grand Tetons National Park today, hoping to find a room at out favorite boon-docking spot. No such luck.

So, we went to our backup plan. An RV Park that I stayed at last month had told me that they always had dry camping available. To make a long story short, they didn't. They had misinformed me.

Feeling a bit desperate, we went out searching for a spot during the evening in a very crowded part of Wyoming. Alessandra is always a source of encouragement and lifted my spirits.

We headed into the Teton National Forest, a spot that I had scouted a month ago. There were a few ruts to overcome. We were really glad that we had the lift option on our Lance 1995 travel trailer.

It was only a mile or two down a single-wide dirt road that we found a clearing. Good for the night, maybe the week. A few minutes later we were all set up, solar panels pointed towards the morning sun and starting dinner.

Once we noticed a slight 4G signal, up goes the 25 foot mast, Verizon booster antennae and an American flag. Getting 12Mb/second in the middle of nowhere.

What seemed like a tragedy turned into a really nice campsite. No noisy neighbors. Nothing but stars above us.

Apparently, when I can't find elk, moose or grizzly, I still have to take wildlife photos.

Anyone know what kind of spider this is? I have never seen one before. Freaked Alessandra out!

The black is the fabric of the storage case from one of our portable solar panels. This spider is riding with us in the cargo bay.

Grizzly 399 is probably the most famous Grizzly of all time, at least for the national parks. She is a great mother, has multiple cubs each year, and has figured out how to keep them alive.

I have been looking for her since I heard about her having four cubs this year. Alessandra and I just happened on her crossing the road. Barely (no pun intended) had time to grab a camera and snap a few shots.

Alessandra and I spent the day at Rocky Mountain National Park. This is one reason we were there. Rutting season is so exciting. The elk are majestic and fun to watch.

Alessandra was making dinner tonight when a fly landed on the cutting board to lap up roasted red pepper juice. Instead of shoeing it away, she said "grab your camera." This image both excited her and freaked her out.
