What is the most “lush and green” time to elope in Colorado?

One thing that nobody talks about is how gray and crusty certain parts of the mountains in Colorado can look 6 + months of the year. And this is coming from someone who is obsessed with the mountains here.

This doesn’t mean that there aren’t epic locations to elope year round, but if you want it to look GREEN the best months are going to be mid June- mid August. After that the green starts drying off slowly into fall foliage! That’s not a lot of time right?

That’s why timing + location matter way more than people realize.

Not every part of Colorado gets green at the same time, and not every “June” looks the same. Elevation, snowpack, and sun exposure all play a role. Some valleys are peaking while others are still waking up, and some high alpine spots won’t fully green until late July.

This is where local planning makes all the difference. We help you choose locations that are actually lush during your specific dates, build timelines that make sense for that area, and always have backups in case Mother Nature decides to be unpredictable.

2025… what a year.

Sometimes we can’t believe this is our job, and we have every single couple that chooses to work with us to thank for that.

I don’t have the exact words to describe what this 80 year long year has been like for us. We experienced literally everything from unforeseen circumstances to the most fun adventures.

There’s tons and tons of locations that you can choose from that range from being free- as little as $300. (And they are alllll pretty epic!)

But in order to find that perfect for you spot, you need a few things that are going to help you filter through the thousands of locations you can find in CO:

✨ How many people are you anticipating to come with you? (We recommend you keep this under 15 total and this # includes both you, your partner and your photo/video team)

✨Are you willing to hike to a spot or prefer an easily accessible area?

✨If you want to drive to the spot, are you open to renting a jeep or off-roading vehicle to open up your options?

✨ What types of views are you “must haves” for your day?

✨ Do you care that the location is busy?

✨ Do you want to incorporate multiple locations for your day?

There’s not a special list of locations that will work for every single couple which is why we personalize each and every suggestion for the couples that work with us.
