Where the Wild Thing Are, a production by . For this headshot I placed a spider web table cloth in front of my lens to create some mood and weird focus. I used a fresnel light with some diffusion. We used a backdrop by , and then I did edits on photoshop using Alien skin. I repeated this process for the 35 dancers involved:) I don’t plan out, I usually grab something in my house before I leave and make it up as I feel the vibe at the dance studio ❤️

This year I photographed two small weddings, and two dance companies. That's it. I was wondering how much I would miss shooting and to be honest I didn't. What I missed though was co creating. I miss working around people I love, I miss the little struggles and the big laughing around a stage or outside. I miss coming home exhausted with my heart full. Thank you Iluminar Aerial and In the Wings for keeping me on board even though everything was so difficult this year. And I am so grateful for those little weddings, thanks to Annie and Louie, Whitney and Anthony

This is the last one, with Skyler. I wish there were more. Skyler you are so gracefull, and your hair always does the things we ask it to do :) Thank you for this pose.

I checked social media and I was overwhelmed with all the posts about the anger and sadness about the murder of yet an innocent man. I have nothing to add but to listen with great humility to the people whose voices matter. The album "Portrait" by Yann Tiersen inspired this image.

I have one more episode to go for season 3 of "La casa de las Flores" and I am absolutely loving everything about this show, the opening in particular, so everything I do is now super colorful. I also randomly speak spanish to my cat. Kristina to me is a super energetic and spirited dancer so I thought she would be a good candidate to my color frenzy. During the shoot, Kristina's flip on the trampoline was so quick that her dress did not have time to be subject to gravity :) Thank you Kristina for your amazing performances and I really hope to see you dance again. I wish to keep creating but I only have one more dance picture to go, so sadly this series is soon coming to an end.

The hummingbird is from -stock on deviant art and I purchased the tropical leaves from Aleksanda Popova on Creative market. Thank you to my friends at and for being a constant source of inspiration.

I was at Costco today, and on my way out I turned around a saw a crowd of people behind me, all trying to leave with their cart as full as mine. We were all wearing masks and looked like a faceless army of souless consumers. I was doing pretty freaking great until today. All the mask wearing is dissolving people's humnaity into a sea of fabric. Don't like it. So i went back to my hiding place and revisited a shoot I did last year with Ashley. I hope that I can be more than a masked consumer again soon. Thank you Ashley for being a magnificent dancer and person.

During this quarantine I have slowed down and taken a break from everything - social media (mostly), photography, and obviously going out. I have instead focused on my family, on studying for my Master's degree program, taking care of my new kitten (!!!) sleeping a lot and growing my garden. I have been obsessed with "La casa de las Flores", a Mexican show that has some incredible floral decors. In the middle of all the anxiety and fear of the unknown, I have found so much peace in taking care of flowers. I sat with those images created on trampoline at the with Emmy for a long time, until I figured out what to do with them. Those pictures were taken right before everything shut down, I am grateful to Emmy and Travis for giving me space to do whatever I wanted with those images. There will be 3 more in the series.

My tree is growing, thanks to Shannon Faber :)
This is the third addition and I am not done. I just keep growing it when it is due.
I wanted to make two announcements : I am not on social media right now because as I grow older with a big ass tree on my back, I give less and less amounts of f***s about all the bu****it. Second : YES I am still a photographer (while getting trained to become a therapist), I photograph personal and intimate sessions where you can feel fully seen. Those sessions are empowering and therapeutic in nature. I also still photograph dance because it is one of the greatest loves of my life.
