Finally getting a chance to share this newborn session at home with baby James Arlo. He was a little over a month old here. This one was extra special because we did this session right before this sweet family moved back to Michigan. The home was listed for sale and I went over at sunrise to document these moments in their garden and home. Lifestyle in home sessions will always have a special place in my heart. ⁣⁣⁣⁣

Liv, Ty, and Cricket the chihuahua in the snow last May and tomorrow I get to watch these two get married. 🖤 there’s something so special about already knowing the love before the wedding day even begins. First lead wedding of the season and I could not have asked for a better one to dive back in with. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣

a year later and i’m finally letting these breathe. ↓

california called to something deep in me last april. the kind of fog that swallows cliffs whole, trees so massive they make you feel properly small, and miles of coastline that just don’t quit.

ryan and i flew into san francisco and chased the northern coast all the way up. point reyes, mendocino, eureka, arcata. green rolling hills, highland landscapes, ocean at every turn.

one thing about being a professional photographer: your own memories come last. every moment i’m trusted to document carries real weight, so i hold mine a little longer before i edit them. these sat untouched for a year. i think i needed that.

but here they are, a sliver of the life that fills me back up. the man who feels like home. the places that make me want to create. the food, the fog, the slowness of it all.

we’re headed back to the southern coast soon and i cannot wait.

swipe for a change of scenery.

How truly special it is to document my couples in different life stages. I photographed Colleen and Adam’s wedding in 2022 (one of the best days ever) and it was the biggest treat to freeze another precious moment in time for them this past Fall. Been loving photographing so many maternity sessions in the last year. Was lucky enough to document another one today and my heart is so full. ♥️⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Some of my favorite images come from the sessions where I actually get to know someone.

I’ve been building out what I’m calling long form storytelling sessions. 2 to 3 hours where we move through locations that actually mean something to you, not just somewhere pretty. More time together means the real stuff comes out. The inside jokes, the way you move around each other, the quiet moments that say everything.

With Megan & Andrew we started at home with their dog Maisie who if you know their story is basically where everything began. She got a puppy, he was the neighbor upstairs who helped out while she was at work, and somewhere between dog walks and getting drinks together she knew she’d be really sad if this man ever dated someone else. We then wandered through the library because these two have a daily reading ritual curled up on the couch together (he’s getting his PhD in mathematics) and we finished outside the Denver City & County Building.

What got me about their story is that Andrew has this quiet gentleness that made Megan feel like someone was finally in her corner. And when it came to the proposal he had been holding onto the ring for weeks waiting for the right moment and it ended up being a random Sunday morning she thought was just brunch with friends.

That is the kind of story I want to document. If you have been thinking about wanting more out of your engagement photos my inbox & my heart is open to create something deeply meaningful. My couples matter to me. Their stories matter. This isn’t just a career it’s something that gives my life meaning. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

It’s the perfect time to refresh your branding photos before the summer rush. Updated photos on your website and socials can make all the difference in connecting with the clients you actually want to work with.

Here’s the truth: when I’m searching for a service provider and land on a website with stock photos or imagery that feels cold and impersonal, I click away. Your potential clients do too. You deserve photos that feel like you. Warm, professional, and specific enough that the right person sees them and thinks “yes, that’s exactly who I need.”

That’s what I’m here for. Sessions that are crisp, true to tone, and full of personality.

February and March are filling up. If you’re ready to show up online in a way that actually reflects your magic, let’s talk. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

October unraveled something I’m still holding onto. Sean & Carly flew their beautiful family in from Florida, none of them had ever touched snow. Five minutes into vows, the mountains answered: a storm rolled through, temps plummeted, and their people circled up without flinching.

This is the work that matters to me. Staying tethered to what’s unfolding. Catching the weight of a moment before it dissolves. Building portals back to how it actually felt. Them reaching for snowflakes while promising forever. That’s the kind of day I show up for. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ coloradoweddingphotographer

August in Colorado was rainier than usual this year. I’d stocked up on clear umbrellas a few weeks earlier, and sure enough, Steph & Kenny’s wedding day brought the rain.

These two met through friends in their 20s, became solid beer pong partners, then circled back during covid over movie marathons and trivia nights. They’re the kind of couple who can quote Anchorman on command—which is exactly what happened when I suggested a jump photo with Kenny and his groomsmen. Immediate yes. Perfect sync.

Steph wore daisies in her hair and gold pearl-buckle heels (necessary when your fiancé is a full foot taller). Kenny rocked a soft green suit while his brothers stood beside him in navy. Her bridesman Travis styled her hair that morning. The whole day was colorful, emotional, and so them.

Greenbriar Inn gave us cozy mountain vibes, her nieces and nephews brought the sweetness, and the happy tears flowed. More from their “best party ever” coming soon. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

When Jessie & Tanner’s photographer bailed 17 days before their Sand Dunes ceremony, Jessie reached out in what I can only assume was mild panic. Plot twist: I had ONE Saturday left in September. ONE. In wedding photographer terms, that’s basically winning the lottery.

These two planned their ceremony in the amphitheater at Great Sand Dunes—because why get married somewhere boring when you can get married somewhere that looks like you’re on another planet? (Very on-brand for two people obsessed with Dune, honestly.) Their closest friends and family witnessed the magic, then we ran into the dunes for friend & couple portraits while the fall leaves hit peak golden yellow perfection.

Between their shared love of black metal, rock climbing, and each other, they’re proof that sometimes the universe just gets it right.

September 27th: saved. More from their day coming soon. ✨⁣⁣⁣⁣
