a year later and i’m finally letting these breathe. ↓
california called to something deep in me last april. the kind of fog that swallows cliffs whole, trees so massive they make you feel properly small, and miles of coastline that just don’t quit.
ryan and i flew into san francisco and chased the northern coast all the way up. point reyes, mendocino, eureka, arcata. green rolling hills, highland landscapes, ocean at every turn.
one thing about being a professional photographer: your own memories come last. every moment i’m trusted to document carries real weight, so i hold mine a little longer before i edit them. these sat untouched for a year. i think i needed that.
but here they are, a sliver of the life that fills me back up. the man who feels like home. the places that make me want to create. the food, the fog, the slowness of it all.
we’re headed back to the southern coast soon and i cannot wait.
swipe for a change of scenery.
