I had this idea in my head of creating 1940s-inspired portraits of my boys. What I didn’t plan for was just how incredibly cold and windy it would be. We stepped out of the car, and the wind cut right through us. Six minutes. That’s all we had. Six freezing, chaotic, determined minutes.
And yet, they showed up for me.
They didn’t complain. They trusted me. They stood there in the cold, doing exactly what I asked, helping me create something I could already see in my mind. Their willingness to help me realize that vision meant more to me than the photos themselves.
These images aren’t just portraits. They’re proof of their trust, their patience, and this fleeting season of childhood where they still say “yes” to my wild creative ideas.
And somehow, in just six minutes, we created something that feels timeless.

I truly love the opportunity to photograph siblings 🤍 There’s something so special about capturing that built-in best friend connection.

Let’s be honest — being in front of a camera as a teen can feel a little awkward. But you would never know it with these two. They were natural, confident, and just so fun to photograph. These sisters were so kind, so easygoing, and completely up for anything. Their attitudes made the entire session such a joy✨

Every shoot with a dancer teaches me something new. I love to learn new lighting techniques and this was a teachable moment. Dancers perfect every movement. Their dedication to their craft, combined with their strength and beauty, is something truly worth capturing. 🌟
