First person to comment this album cover gets a gentle nod of approval and a forever place in my heart.

One of my favorite couples got married and I’m still not over it. Kori has been one of my fav humans the internet brought me to (I followed her to follow her sleeve progress from Emi Collison bc it’s just so beautiful). 5 years later and she’s one of my dearest friends.

I am SO honored to have been a part of their elopement day. The vibes were HOA HOA HOA-ing, the leaves were gorgeous, and the tears were flowing.

I sometimes still can’t believe my job is to be a part of someone’s most special day of their lives. I adore these two and the friendship they’ve shown me over the years.

Cheers to forever, friends 🫶

In honor of these two having their wedding reception this weekend, I HAVE to share photos from their sweet intimate wedding back in July 😍

It was the most perfect day with peak wildflowers overlooking the Crested Butte valley. CB is just such a special place that feels truly magical any time of year, but especially when the flowers bloom.

Everything about this day was so intentional, from family members making the cake (which oh my god was DELICIOUS), choosing flowers in bulk to make her own bouquet and center pieces, and changing gears for a more relaxed ceremony rather than adding unnecessary travel. These two just care so deeply for their people, and watching that love get reflected back to them all day was so special.

I cannot wait to celebrate these two again this weekend!! 💖

What better way to start your wedding day than cracking open a cold one with your favorite person?

Elsa + Brian had the most gorgeous intimate wedding a couple weeks ago. We ventured out to their favorite secret spot to chill by the river with a b**r, then explored in some wildflowers before heading to their ceremony spot.

This was actually their second wedding, their first being a few weeks before this with family in Florida. But they couldn’t consider themselves officially married until they got to celebrate with all their friends!

This was SUCH an incredible day 🥹 more b**rs by rivers please and thanks!!!

Haley + Tristan wanted pretty mountains and lakes to fly fish on, and booooyyyyy did they get that 😮‍💨

I am always so blown away by the color of these alpine lakes and waterfalls. I’m not kidding when I say it looks like glacier blue Gatorade.

Throughout their 8 hour day, we explored 3 alpine lakes and 2 waterfalls. All of which were absolutely insane. Not photographed was getting pelted by a surprise hail storm at lake no. 2 😅 hiding under a tree getting smacked by hail sharing an umbrella wasn’t on my bingo card!

This day will be living rent free in my head for a looooong time to come!

Star photos are one of my FAVORITE things to include on an elopement day, and there’s a few reasons for that.

💫 Here’s why I love it for my couples:
1. It gives you a moment to zoom out on your day. You either just got married, or are about to be married, and you’re looking into this incredible expanse of space. And yet, somehow, with all that space out there, and all those people down here, you found the ONE person you want to be with forever. It’s a magical way to be present on your wedding day.
2. Gives you a chance to truly. When’s the last time you spent an hour just looking at the stars?

💫 Here’s why I love it as a photographer:
1. You have to nail the shot in camera for best results, which takes time, practice, and patience.
2. Every shot feels intentional. Rather than taking hundreds of photos every minute, I typically average about one photo every 5 minutes 😮‍💨 it takes work to set it all up, but the magic when it comes together is unmatched.

If you DO decide to go chasing waterfalls, rather than sticking to the rivers and the lakes that you’re used to, pls invite me to come along 👀

After a gorgeous sunrise vow exchange in the wildflowers, we chased one of my favorite waterfalls.

I don’t know if I say it enough or if I say it too much, but I cannot reiterate this enough: Colorado. is. magical. And Colorado at sunrise? Truly unmatched.

The stillness you experience in these locations when no one else is around is otherworldly. Being surrounded only by the sounds of birdsong and rushing water is truly a magical experience.

Wildflowers > wildfires. Unfortunately, this day had a bit of both 😬

Ashley + Anthony’s day started with a private first look and vows, featuring clear skies. However, after we adventured for their ceremony and returned to town, smoke started to roll in from the west, which we now know was from the Gold Mountain fire in Ouray.

We could smell the smoke, and feel the ash falling from the sky. At sunset, it began to look a bit apocalyptic.

I was so worried that the fire was going to affect not only our plans and their experience, but also their photos. But the beauty of the mountains isn’t JUST the mountains, so we decided to play in some wildflowers since the mountains weren’t too visible.

As always, no wildflowers were trampled in the making of these photos, the couple is sitting/standing on a dirt trail 🫶

That “just married” feeling! Actually, it’s that “it’s sunrise and we’re freezing and YAY the sun is finally out” feeling ☀️

Also, that “what bird is that? Let me pull out my Merlin app” feeling.

Brooke + Stuart’s elopement day started at sunrise with a hike around a beautiful alpine lake, where they shared their vows, shed some tears, and shared a first Monster as a married couple.

After getting breakfast at the world’s cutest diner, we separated until the afternoon. They held an intimate ceremony with their families, featuring a beautiful hand fasting, and their clingy pup Sylvie who couldn’t bear to be more than 2 feet away from mom and dad.

Congrats to these two love birds on tying the knot (literally)! 💖

Part 2 of MacKenzie + Joes’s Crested Butte wedding weekend! 🪻

Day 2 was just as magical as day 1. From the beautiful ceremony on the big mine property yard, transforming it to a spectacular dinner set up, and escaping for some time in the gorgeous wildflowers with their sweet pup Luna—this day was incredible from start to finish.

Crested Butte is my happy place, and I love getting to share in its beauty with the best people. UGH I love my job y’all.

And it all came together with the help of these incredible vendors!
