Maybe the words “very small wedding” just weren’t loud enough? 😅

But truly, it’s NEVER personal. Some couples just feel way more comfortable in a smaller setting, surrounded by the people they know and love the most.
And there’s a practical side to it too.🤷‍♀️

Every guest you add also adds to the logistics and the budget of the day. More chairs, more tables, more food, more drinks, a bigger venue...everything scales up really quickly.

If you’re trying to be conscious about your budget, one of the simplest ways to lower it is to lower your guest count.

Plus, choosing a smaller wedding can actually give you room in your budget for the things that matter most to you and your partner. Maybe that’s a vendor you’ve always wanted to work with, a dream place to stay, a private chef, or planning a once in a lifetime activity.

Small weddings definitely aren’t about excluding people. They’re about being intentional with every choice and staying grounded in what matters most to you both.

If that’s the kind of day you’ve been dreaming about, I’d love to help you bring it to life.🔗

If you've started looking for a Colorado elopement location, you've probably already discovered one thing:

There are WAY too many good options. 😂

Seriously, though. That's part of what makes Colorado such an incredible place to elope.

One minute you're looking at alpine lakes. Then you're looking at mountain Airbnbs. Then somebody sends you a private venue with incredible views. Then you find another location. And another. And another...

Colorado is full of places that quite literally make your jaw drop, which sounds great until you're the one trying to narrow them down. Suddenly you have 47 tabs open, a Pinterest board that's getting out of control, and absolutely no idea how you're supposed to choose.

As you start narrowing things down, you realize that each location comes with a completely different experience.

A hiking adventure to an alpine lake feels very different than spending the weekend at an Airbnb with your favorite people, which feels very different than a private venue with built-in amenities and support. With so many different options, it can be hard to figure out what actually makes the most sense for YOUR wedding day.

In my blog, I'm breaking down the three main types of Colorado elopement locations: public lands, Airbnbs/VRBOs, and private venues. Plus, I'm sharing some of my favorite examples of each to help make the decision a whole lot easier.🔗

Pride Month may get the "spotlight" in June, but inclusion, empathy, and unfiltered celebration are built into everything I do, every single day. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Pride is about visibility, love, and the freedom to be your FULL self.
That's important every day of the year.
And it matters during your engagement, your wedding day, and every chapter before and after that.

Finding your soulmate is an experience for EVERYONE. And I support the marriage of any two humans lucky enough to find love...no matter your gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, shape, size, or ability.

I proudly support the LGBTQ+ community, and I know that showing up authentically can feel vulnerable. That’s why I approach every single wedding with empathy, intention, and a commitment to creating a space where you feel safe to celebrate with your heart wide open.

How you get married matters.🫶

And when you trust me to document it, I don't take that lightly. I want you to be able to look through your photos years from now and really see yourselves in them, fully and unapologetically.

🏳️‍🌈❤️ Always. Not just in June.

This time of year always makes Colorado feel a little bigger.

The days get longer, mountain passes start reopening, and places that have been buried beneath snow for months slowly come back to life again.

One of my favorite things about the start of summer here is the feeling of possibility that comes with it. Maybe it’s a trail you’ve been waiting to hike, a place you’ve been wanting to explore, or your favorite scenic road finally reopening after a long winter.

I think wedding planning can feel a lot like that, too.

Beneath all the logistics, timelines, and endless decisions is something much bigger. There’s the chance to create an experience that actually reflects who you are at the core and how you want this season of your life to feel and be remembered. 🫶

And sometimes, once you move past the expectations and traditions people assume you have to follow, you start realizing just how many possibilities are actually out there. The possibility to do something unconventional. To choose a place that means something to you or to wear something that feels like yourself.

Suddenly, you realize your wedding day can be anything from a mountaintop ceremony to a cabin weekend with your favorite people. It can mean traveling somewhere new, spending the entire day outdoors, keeping things intentionally small, or completely rethinking what a wedding day can look like in the first place.

Whatever it looks like, I hope you give yourselves room to dream a little bigger than expectations.🤍

A+T love Colorado, so when it came time to plan their wedding day, a small forest celebration with their loved ones felt like the perfect fit.🌲🥹

They celebrated at Juniper Lodge & Treehouses surrounded by a handful of their favorite people, with towering trees overhead and absolutely zero interest in rushing through any of it.

One of my favorite things about their micro wedding day was just how present they both were. Whether they were sharing their first look in the trees, laughing with family at dinner, or curled up by the fire pit at the end of the night, they seemed to fully understand something a lot of people forget:

The day goes by fast, but you don't have to.

These are just a few sneak peeks from a really beautiful and intimate celebration. More coming soon. 🤍

Congratulations, A+T! 🫶

And suddenly you’re in that awkward spot…👀

If you’re planning an intimate wedding or elopement, comments like this can catch you off guard, especially if you’re still figuring things out yourself.

First things first, you don’t owe anyone an invite, an explanation, or a bigger wedding than you actually want. I just had to get that out of the way…

That said, if it feels right for you, you can keep it simple and clear. Let them know you’re planning something small with a limited group of people, and that you’re really excited about what you’re putting together.

I know it might feel easier to say that to a random coworker than it does to a family friend or someone closer to you. That’s normal. Some conversations are just a little more loaded than others. Just remember to stay confident in your decision. 👏

You can also remind them it’s not personal. You’re just choosing a day that fits you and your partner. And if it makes sense, you can always celebrate with certain people in a different way later on.

At the end of the day, you can’t control how everyone feels about your choices, but you can stay confident in them and in how you communicate them.

The right people will understand. And the ones who matter most will just be happy for you. 🫶

A hiking wedding lets you start your marriage the same way you spend some of your best days…outside, moving, and surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. 😌 And that is exactly why I wrote this blog!

Instead of walking down a traditional aisle, you’ll lace up your boots, shoulder your pack, and head toward a ceremony spot that feels earned. The wind through the trees replaces a playlist, and your wedding photos are framed by alpine lakes, rugged ridgelines, and quiet forest paths that no ballroom could ever compete with.

In my blog, you’ll learn how to plan your Colorado hiking wedding from start to finish.
I walk you through:
- how to decide if a hiking wedding is right for you and your partner
- what to wear for comfort and style
- how to handle permits and logistics
- and where to find some of the BEST hiking wedding locations in the state

If you are drawn to privacy, adventure, and an intentional wedding day, this guide will provide everything you need to know. From securing permits to following Leave No Trace principles, you’ll learn how to plan a hiking wedding that feels thoughtful, well planned, and authentic to the two of you. 💕

This one’s been on my list for a while, and I can't wait for you to check it out. 🔗
