THE MAGIC OF INDIA
Now that I’m back I’m trying to figure out how to go through thousands of photos and lots of video in order to effectively share the magic of India with others. I’ve decided that I’m going to create a place on my website where I can share different series of photos dedicated to an area or a temple or a subject matter and be able to write about them in the process. I’ve started working on it and hope to share the result soon.

THE HILLS ARE ALIVE
This image is part of my current show at Gallery 6 which is called “WANDERLUST” which will be up until November 22nd. It is also my last show at the gallery as I step aside to work on personal projects and make way for a new photographer to come into the gallery.

My website, www.RAND.photography , will become the place where I’ll post online exhibitions going forward, and my next one will be from an upcoming trip to India.

This might be one of my favorite images from the recent trip to Utah. It was the last photo I took with my drone on our last night there. The sun had already set and it was starting to get to be too dark out after I took this. It’s high above an area near the Mars Desert Research Station in an area that’s referred to as the Painted Hills/Bentonite Hills.

The arroyos that formed from water flowing from the surrounding hills looked like a giant tree in the landscape. The colors and patterns in this area are fascinating, especially from above.

AUGUST 4th FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK
I recently installed a new selection of framed architectural photos in my space at Gallery 6 and I kept a few of the aerial photos up from my Eye in the Sky group that I installed in July.

I also have a bin full of 13x19 and 11x14 bin prints which cover a wider range of my photography.

For this month’s First Friday Art Walk on August 4th, which is the biggest of the year, I’m doing a 20% off sale on everything!

Stop by and see the new work and enjoy a fun night of art and food and music in the Art District on Santa Fe. Santa Fe Drive will be closed-off this Friday for the art walk and Gallery 6 will also have a tent set up on the corner of Santa Fe Drive & 8th Ave.

If the weather permits, Gallery 6 will have a tent set up on the corner of 8th Avenue & Santa Fe Drive, just down the block from the gallery.

It's almost here! Only two more days until August First Friday!

This Friday, August 4th, Santa Fe Drive will be closed to traffic from 6th Avenue to 11th Avenue for our biggest event of the year. Visit the Art District on Santa Fe to view art from hundreds of artists in galleries, studios, co-ops, upstairs, downstairs, in alleys, on the street—everywhere! In addition to our member galleries, there will be vendors, food trucks, live music, creative performances, and much more!
