Moody edits - not my usual, but i dont know you tell me what you think!

These are all photographs from hiking The Colorado Trail.

1. Golden mountains, dark shadows, and Leadville off in the distance.

2. Hiking out of Lake City we get a glimpse of the realities of life in nature. Little did we know we’d be stuck in our tents for almost two days due to weather shortly after seeing this sign.

3. I believe this is approaching hope pass, I was incredibly sick and we were battling weather for a few days.

4. During our two day stint in our tents due to weather we only had about 30 minutes total of breaks in the weather. This was one of those few moments. We were essentially in a cloud on top of the hill.

We’re all just animals in a zoo I guess.

Throwing it back to this amazing surprise proposal and engagement in Arches National Park!

Got to witness two incredibly beautiful (both inside and out) people, who I’m lucky to call best friends, start their next chapter in their life journey. Truly one of the most stunning locations in the world for a proposal and I couldn’t be luckier to have gotten to take these photographs.

Zero fish caught on the Colorado Trail, but that’s okay. We had a good time regardless.

A few more days on trail.

I have a blister the size of a peanut M&M between my big toe and the one next to it (i dont know what that toe is called??). Hiking 20 miles with that on my foot took a serious mental toll, but you also learn to adapt as you move.

After a few days (and a few beers) off my feet in frisco / breck we’re ready to make the climb out of here to copper tomorrow.

391 miles to go. Walking 100 miles is cool, it’s something I’ve never done before. It’s weird to have walked to places that I’ve been so many times during different seasons of Colorado life.

Here’s to more miles, and hoping this blister goes away.
