Thanks for all the birthday wishes the other day! I was lucky enough to take a long weekend and do my first hut trip with some friends so I couldn’t have asked for much more. Looking forward to the next one.

Haven’t spent much time behind the camera since returning from Japan. Got these shots yesterday from backcountry to city.

Convenience store sushi to eating raw A5 wagyu beef and everything in between the food culture of Japan did not disappoint. Wish we could raise the standards of the food we consume here in the US. While I didn’t think to take any pictures of the convenience store food it was definitely a stop for at least one meal every day.

Japan has been absolutely amazing! Definitely a trip of a lifetime. I can’t thank my family enough especially for making it all happen. I mostly ride solo back home so it was a blast having him and another buddy with me to shoot some photos. We decided to end the trip with a backcountry day Yoeti which is a volcano here in Hokkaido. The day before we rode Rusutsu (only day that wasn’t a powder day out of 7) and got some carving pics as well. I’ll be posting many more pics from this trip in the days to come including food and city life.

I’ve wanted to visit this lake for many years now and finally got the chance to over the weekend. The fall colors and blue water were breathtaking!

A few highlights from this summer of 2023. Aside from the weekend road trips and chasing storms around the city I would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported me and given me opportunities in my passion for photography. ( even if your photos aren’t in this post) THANK YOU! I appreciate all of you. While it was a great summer I’m ready for Autumn 🍂
