Downtown Denton Sunset Dinner - this annual event put on by Downtown Denton is always the highlight of the spring. A chance to see old friends and meet new friends and neighbors along with great food is an event not to miss.

Ridgely Lions Strawberry Festival and Chase

Even though the day started out a little wet, things kicked off without a hitch with the Strawberry Chase and then the Strawberry Festival.

Pictures can be seen and downloaded from my SmugMug site. The photos will be free for two (2) weeks. After that time there will be a small charge for downloads or prints.

Last weekend Caroline County Rec and Parks held their annual St. Patricks Day 5K race. It is always a great time for families and friends to share a time to walk, run or just mozy along and chat. The day starts out with a dash for the little ones and then the older kids line up for the 1 mile or 5K race. Attendance this year was over 160 participants. Everyone had a smile on their face as the dashed from the starting line. Refreshments, snacks, door prizes and race awards were handed out after the race was finished.

I tried to photograph as much as the event as possible. You can view these shots on my site. If you would like your own copy or download, they are available on my site for a very reasonable cost.

During the first three weekends in November, Caroline County Rec and Parks sponsored basketball for middle school boys and girls. Three games were held each weekend and they never failed to get family and friends on their feet cheering their players on.

I attended every game and got some great photos capturing all the action. These photos will be available for viewing and downloading at my photo site. PLUS, I am making all the viewing and downloads FREE till 12/15/2025. So get on over to my photo site and take a look at all the great sports action photos of these talented girls and boys. I know people have been asking. Thanks so much for your patience. I now have about 80% of all the photos (about 500 photos at this point) from the Denton Little League Home Run Derby posted and ready for viewing. I should have the remainder processed and uploaded in the next couple days. Lots of big hitters to get photos of and it is taking me longer than expected.

You are more than welcome to review the site and see if your little sluggers photos are posted. There is no charge for the photos. Just right click on them and download as many as you want. Hello, my name is Mickey Pullen. I am one of the community photographers for Caroline County. Chances are you have seen me at any number of events around the county over the past 3 years. Every time I am at an event, people come up to me and ask to have their photo taken or where they might view these photos. Honestly, I haven’t had a good answer for those requests…..until today. What I have decided to do is put a majority of my photographs on my SmugMug site for people to view. It allows you to view all these photos and if the mood strikes you, purchase the ones which interest you. But most importantly I want to share these photos with the community. It’s always nice to go through photos to remember the events and the joy experienced by everyone attending or taking part in the events. You do not have to pay anything to view and share the link to these photos with friends and family.

That brings me to the most asked question when I am photographing around the county…”will you take a photo of us?” Of course I will. I will never turn you down. But now… if you ask me, I will take the photo and be sure to post it on my SmugMug site in the appropriate event where we met (like Summerfest??). That way you can find your photo, view it and buy a copy if you feel it is worth your money. So if we meet at an event, just tap me on the shoulder and ask for a photo. A quick snap and check Smug mug in a few days.

I am sure it will bring a smile to your face remembering all the fun events we have had in Caroline County over the past few years. I typically don’t home in on any one person when shooting these events. I am just trying to get the feel, the fun, and the excitement. Hopefully my photos bring across those feelings.
