I have my ‘tried and true’ photo locations, but every now and then I’ll get someone who asks about a particular location to see if it’ll work. Caitlin here saw a spot just driving by one day and I said YES! This gorgeous light on this little back road was just perfect. (We mayyyy have just had to watch out for some poison ivy 😬🤪😂) And the kids being the most joyful little human beings was the cherry on top!

Hi friends! Just a quick fall update. 🍁 My calendar is filling up and I only have a handful of weekend openings left. Lots of fun celebrations this fall to look forward to!! I do have lots of weekday availability for sunset sessions—depending on the month, sessions can begin between 5:30-7:00pm. Daylight savings ends November 1, which means outdoor sunset sessions are even earlier (perfect for families with littles). If you’ve been meaning to book your maternity, newborn or family photos, I’d love to get you on the calendar!

In other news, my first baby is headed to preschool this year and I’m tearing up about it a healthy and totally normal amount. He’s so ready and we’re so excited for him!!! ✏️📚

For Allison’s maternity photos, we were at this same location: cherished family land that has since been sold. Getting to preserve a couple memories here with the three of them now was so special. Miss Tatum’s adventurous, tender and just plain happy spirit shone through in each photo. (I also wanted an adult size of her dress 😍) Just loved this session so much!

From a Texas photographer’s standpoint—if you’re wanting ‘fall photos’, you may have to wait until December or even January(like this session) for leaves to change color and/or drop for those fun ‘leaves in the air’ shots. Texas is tricky like that! 🤣😭

I’ve gotten to know this beautiful mama and her boys over the past couple of years and what a blessing she is! She started a mom’s group where weekly coming-togethers happen…lots of toddler wrestling, baby babbling, questions about milestones and a random smorgasbord of whatever we bring to snack on. The best. She is a calm, kind presence and her boys are lucky to have her. 💛

Those tiny fingers and toes turn into chunky toddler hands and suddenly they’re outgrowing shoes faster than you can keep up. These days go by so fast, and it’s so special to preserve this time for families.
