Just outside the city of Denton, TX lies the ruins of part of America's cold war air defense system. DF-01 was equipped with the Nike missile system and responsible for defending the northern approach to the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area from Soviet air attack. The site was decommissioned in 1968 and is now a part of the University of North Texas. The tall radio tower seen in the video is the campus' radio station transmitter.

Today I worked a job site in Paris, Texas. I had no idea, but it's home to Texas' Eiffel Tower. I've seen the knockoff in France, and the slightly better one in Las Vegas, but nothing beats the original.
