This find was for the vets. I have had the pleasure on being on several hunts with a group called The Fallen Outdoors EAST COAST ALL VETERAN, well, I wanted to return the favor. During one of their hosted hunts, one of the organizers reached out to me and asked if we could find a deer he shot while hosting veterans for an archery hunt and, as a veteran myself, didn't think twice. These type of sponsored hunts are at no charge to the vets and we provide free service while on those sponsored hunts.

So, I loaded up, headed 20 minutes up the road to the farm that a private land owner graciously donates for some of these hunts. Talked with the hunter, wasn't sure of the shot, searched, found one drop of blood and that was it. Well, I knew that deer could be anywhere. Here, he was in the opposite direction that he though, went through a small block of wood and was after about 25 minutes in the air, the deer was located 125 yards from where the hunter shot, and even better, he fell in an open field (quick recovery)!

Here at Freedom Drone Recovery if you are a vet, active duty, first responder or law enforcement, you will receive 5% off all services. New this year, if you are private land owner and sponsor hunts for the organization above and we service your area, you receive 5% off as well for deer search/recovery. If your hunt club that sponsors hunts for the group above, all members of that hunt club get 5% off search/recovery (this is a thank you for supporting our vets and getting them in the woods). All discounts for land owners and hunt clubs that support TFO apply in our service area for the current hunting season. SkyTrakr Drone Alliance Ricky Anderson.

Update!! of the 2 below, the hunter sent me a trail cam pic, the 10pt in the 1st pic survived and is doing well.

People always ask me what my success rate is, I tell them my success rate at locating deer is high, if I had to estimate, some where in the 90% range. My recovery rate is much lower, but then again, I do not control that rate as that is controlled by many variables to include the hunter, equipment, or maybe even a twig. So far to date this season, I have conducted 5 searches and 4 were located. Out of those 4, one was recovered and the other 3 had a follow up search done the next day and they were no where to be found. 1 of those 3 was seen on camera few days later. The last 2 we hope will survive. Unfortunately this happens, but at least the hunter has closure that the deer have lived to see another day. We all know this is part of hunting and the realistic part of it. So hunters, when you are tracking, note the direction its heading, the type of blood found, and if you re finding blood but it's sporadic or it's beyond 50 to 60 yards, mark the last spot (on your phone with a pin), back out and give us a call. 757-503-1762 let us find your deer from the air with zero pressure.

Hunter reached out to us last night about 7:30pm. Only information he had was that the shot felt good, heard the arrow hit, but can't find blood, no hair, no arrow, and only knew the direction he ran. I arrived about 8pm and by 8:20pm his deer was found about 150 yards from the shot. Thank you for trusting us in finding your deer and congrats on this very nice Surry County Buck!
If you aren't sure of that shot or just don't want to risk pushing that trophy, give us a call and let us put that deer in your freezer and on your wall
