Growing up in Central Florida afforded me opportunities to photograph our wildlife and beautif

ul sub-tropical landscapes. But it was the birth of my nephew this year that peaked my interest in portrait photography. Armed with my Canon I fumbled through my first shoot in five grueling hours in a poorly lit hotel room on a cold April day. I've been hooked since.

Dads. They are usually our toughest clients. They are typically being dragged to the shoot and do not want to take off their sunglasses or hats. I get it. Being a dad is not easy. Is being a mom harder? Yes. But being a good father in a world like this is no easy task.

When this little boy grows up, he is not going to remember the grumbling about matching shirts or the schedule. He is going to look at this photo and see a giant who held the sun in place for him. Time is a quiet thief that steals these little years right out from under us.

Seriously though, they stood in a monsoon and exchanged their wedding vows on the beach and never skipped a beat. The rain went away just in time for portraits and I’m so excited to share a few with you!
