10 Year Update
​It’s now been 10 years. In 2016, I reached my heaviest at 390 lbs. My doctor warned me then that I was going to need a major change because of a fatty liver. I started walking every day and within a year I dropped over 100 lbs.
​By 2022, I had hovered back up to 306, so I quit soda and started walking every day again, dropping all the way down to 234 lbs. In late 2023, I started running, and in 2025, I began training for half marathons. My weight has fluctuated up about 20 lbs with the long-distance running, but my body has improved and I’ve now completed two half marathons and two 5ks.
​If you would’ve told the "me" in that photo 10 years ago that I’d accomplish what I have, I wouldn't have believed you.
