Russ was our last senior of the year! I'm having a hard time admitting this senior season is about over, but it was my most favorite one yet! I'm so blessed to have photographed so many awesome kids this year!!

Just over a year ago, I opened my bo***ir studio in Delavan… For the last nine months, I have been fighting myself on whether or not to continue photographing families and newborns in that specific studio. My heart was telling me no, but I really didn’t want to give that aspect of my business up. As always, the universe was listening… And gave me the opportunity to become part owner of The Aubrey Hall in downtown Janesville. So we’re back to having two studio spaces! I’m really excited that my Delavan studio can be strictly bo***ir as that is my bread and butter! Empowering women is what I was born to do!

So, I will now be scheduling family, and newborn sessions in The Aubrey Hall, in Janesville! I’m so excited for the opportunity to continue to make the Aubrey Hall the amazing space that it is!

If you’re a local photographer, and you are unaware of The Aubrey Hall’s existence… It is a natural light studio that is rented out hourly to other photographers! And it is absolutely beautiful! I can’t wait to share more about it! So for now, I wish Autumn the best and I’m so excited to go on this adventure with Elizabeth! This business just continues to take me on a wild ride, every single day!

HI!! Autumn here! I have little bittersweet announcement 🤍

After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to step away from my ownership at The Aubrey Hall.

Years ago, after seeing some incredible inspiration studios in Texas, I had this idea of creating a beautiful studio space right here in Janesville, somewhere photographers could come together, create, and rent a space that felt special. Then Stacie with Blue Tree Photography came alongside me, and together we took that idea and turned it into The Blue Willow Room. After about a year, Elizabeth with Birchwood Studio joined us as a co-owner. Then Elizabeth and I renamed it The Aubrey Hall. We put so much time, work, and love into creating our amazing little studio, and I’m incredibly proud of what we built together.

Over the years, Aubrey Hall has grown and changed, and I’m so thankful to every photographer and client who has walked through those doors and supported the studio along the way.

With my new job at the school and the direction my life is taking, I know this is the right time for me to step away.

I’m also SO happy to say that Ashlee with PB&J Memories will be taking my place and joining Elizabeth with Birchwood Studio in running the studio. It feels really good knowing I’m leaving something I loved in such good hands. 🤍

Even though I will no longer be an owner, I’m not disappearing completely! I’ll still periodically rent and use Aubrey Hall for sessions.

Thank you to everyone who helped turn this little idea into something real. I’m sad to close this chapter, but I’m also really excited about what’s ahead. 🤍

Just a friendly PSA before Fall actually hits!

It is not your photographers fault if the leaves and the trees don’t look perfect. It is not your photographers fault if it’s raining and you have to reschedule. It is not your photographers fault if your husband shows up grumpy for your shoot.

We can’t control the leaves, the weather, or the man you chose to marry! Fall is our busiest season!!! Make sure you give your photographer grace when they reach out for weather related reschedules. After being a self taught weather woman for 14 years, we DONT want to reschedule you as much as you don’t want to be rescheduled. But also, “photos in the rain are soooooo dreamy Ashlee…” I’m sure they are but our gear is not waterproof and hellllaaaaa expensive. Please, just no!

With all of that, I can’t wait to photograph your family this fall!! For real!!! You give me life! We are just back praying the leaves would turn pretty colors (and not just die and fall) and for the love of all things… STOP RAINING!!!!!!!
