Another destination wedding, another little Florida connection! This time, I was up in North Carolina second shooting, and the sweetest couple actually traveled from Jacksonville, Florida, for their destination wedding ✨

And this reception?! Easily one of the funniest and most high-energy receptions I’ve been a part of. The entire bridal party was an absolute blast, and the energy was HIGH from start to finish. 😂🥂

Posting a little Boston throwback because I’m heading back this weekend to associate shoot a wedding for Manuela 🤍

I second shot this wedding back in June and somehow ended up having the funniest small-world moment with the groom. I was hanging out with the guys, chatting about how I’m from this little town in Florida called DeLand and telling him how different the beaches and weddings feel up north compared to home.
He immediately goes, “No way, I lived in DeLand for a couple years and went to Stetson.” 😂
Mind you… we are in MASSACHUSETTS.

Blanca reached out to me almost a year ago, and after scheduling conflicts, weather delays, and a whole lot of trying to make this session happen… we finally said, rain or shine, we’re doing it. 😂🤍
Of course, the weather looked PERFECT until we got there and the thunder started rolling in. But Blanca + Ray had the absolute best attitude, and somehow it turned into one of my favorite sessions to date. The joy, love, and way these two are together is just so beautiful to photograph. Truly love them so much. 🥹🤍

☔️ Tuesday Tip: When you’re touring wedding venues, ask to see the rain backup plan.

One thing I’ve heard from several of my recent brides is that having a beautiful Plan B was just as important as falling in love with the venue itself and honestly, I couldn’t agree more.
Florida weather likes to keep us guessing. It might drizzle for 20 minutes, rain all morning and clear up just before your ceremony, or throw in one of those classic 3 p.m. showers. The key is choosing a venue that feels just as magical, no matter what the forecast decides.

This sweet day is the perfect example. We had a little rain during the ceremony, moved inside while it passed, captured some cozy indoor portraits, and as soon as the skies cleared, we headed back outside to finish the rest. The timeline shifted a little, but the joy never did.

So here’s your reminder: don’t let the forecast rain on your parade. 🌦️ Sometimes the best wedding days don’t go exactly as planned and they end up even better because of it.
