Can we talk about compliments for a second?

Because women are horrrrrible at accepting compliments!!! 😂

Tell a woman she's beautiful and she'll immediately tell you why you're wrong.

Tell her you love her outfit and she'll tell you she got it on clearance.

Tell her she looks rested and she'll tell you she hasn't slept in three days.

Why are we like this? Tell me...

💛 What's the hardest compliment for you to accept?

(For me - it's even as simple as "You look great!" - I automatically run through the list of the reasons I think they're wrong lol)

And then there are images where all you notice are specific features: the eyes the smile, the curves.

The neon set has a personality alyl its own ⚡

Some women step in front of it and immediately become playful.

Others become bold.
A little mysterious.
A little rebellious.

Same lights.
Different woman.
Completely different story.

That's what makes it so much fun to shoot.

One thing I've learned after photographing so many women...
The image they choose as their favorite is rarely the one they expected. 📸❤️

It's usually not the most posed.
Not the most revealing.
Not even the one they spent the most time creating.

It's the one that feels real. 🫶✨️

The one where something about it just clicks.

There’s something about summer that makes women want to feel good in their own skin again ☀️

The sunshine.
The fresh tan.
The dresses.
The messy beach hair.
The little confidence boost that somehow shows up this time of year.

It’s like everybody starts reconnecting with themselves a little more.

I love how differently women interpret bo***ir for themselves.

Some want moody shadows and messy hair.
Some want soft skin tones and natural light.
Some lean into bold glam.
Some want cozy, relaxed, barely-trying energy.

And that is the whole point, ladies!!

That’s exactly how it should be.

The sessions that feel the most powerful are always the ones that actually reflect the woman in front of the camera. 📸❤️

There’s something about mirror shots that always feels a little deeper.

Maybe it's because we spend so much time critiquing our reflection… but rarely actually SEEING ourselves.

We’re checking flaws.
Fixing hair.
Adjusting clothes.
Critiquing everything.

And then every once in a while— there’s a moment during a session where a woman catches her reflection and goes quiet for a second.

Not because she looks “perfect.”

Because for once she sees herself differently.
