Had a fantastic Birthday shoot with Michael last week. His wife surprised him with a photo shoot as a gift for his BIG Birthday. He told me he had so much fun and it was more like a party than a photo session. Here was his wife’s google review! So nice! “We all remember taking pictures as part of our earliest memories—every emotion caught in our expressions. As I got older, pictures became quick to-dos to capture the place, face, or moment, but often, we focus on what we don’t love about the way we look—our size, smile, etc. Well, that changed when I sat down in front of Pam! I have NEVER loved EVERY picture taken from the start. The toughest part is deciding which ones to keep.

Fast forward to my husband, who followed me and had his first photo shoot—another masterful session with a ton of great pictures. I have known my husband for half of my life, but I saw him in such a special way through her lens. She is the photoshoot whisperer, making everyone feel at ease so their best self shines out and through. She even has a few jokes up her sleeve to help capture that just-right expression.

Awe, this post brought tears to my eyes. So happy to have met fellow photographer and new friend, Martha! We definitely share the passion.

To quote one of my favorite children's books, "a friend is someone who likes you." A friend is also someone who is willing to stand in front of your camera for hours on end on a 70 degree day in November while you check and double check what feels like every possible combination of settings on your new gear.​​​​​​​​
