On your way back from the beach, or before you hop in the hot tub, try out our custom outdoor bath house. Complete with a 12 ft
high rain shower, a marble sink, and luxury toilet, the Bath House is the perfect place to rinse off or get charged up for the day. The Bath House was designed for our guests and custom built to offer a getaway during your vacation. The inside is finished with imported bamboo, and high quality hardware. The tall walls provide privacy, while the open air lets the trees and breeze creep in while you are relaxing in the warm water of the luxury rain shower. The Island beach rentals boasts the fastest possible wifi speeds available in the nation. If you are working remotely, or streaming Disney+ your wifi speeds will be the fastest available. The Xfi router and fiber wifi will allow you to connect all of your devices while staying at the Island. The Tortoises
The Island has become known for our exotic Tortoises, and you are going to LOVE them. We have 3 baby Sulcata Tortoises, and two 7 year old Hybrid Lepracata Tortoises. These Exotic hybrid Tortoises can not be found anywhere else! It is very rare to find a Tortoise Hybrid, and our resident Torts are legendary. Venus is 8 and Serena is 7 years old, and they love to eat veggies. Our Guests are invited to feed them (food will be in your fridge upon check in) and take photos with them. Venus and Serena eat a lot, while the babies eat less but more frequently. The three baby Tortoises are Keith Booth, Walt Williams , and Len Bias (all former University Maryland Basketball Players). They live in the smaller enclosure by the bbq grill and are all pure Sulcata Tortoises. All of These tortoises are from the sub-Saharan deserts of Africa and graze on a grassland diet. We feed them grass; hay, lettuce, melon, berries, aloe, spineless cactus, hibiscus, Carrots, broccoli, and more lettuce. They love to eat and our guests love to feed them. During your stay you can feed them, and engage with them while taking photos and making memories. Many guests love to come back year after year to see how the tortoises have grown. Our Hybrid Tortoises Venus and Serena, are considered rare and exotic. They are a mix between a Leopard Tortoise, and a Sulcata. They are quite unique, and have incredible personalities. Ring the dinner bell, and watch them come to eat; scratch their back and watch them bob their head; and each day you will see them in the sun grazing on grass or taking a nap in the shade. Our Club house is the perfect place to stop by before or after the beach. The free ice machine will let you top off your cooler before heading to the beach, and our free laundry machines will give you the flexibility to wash whatever you need to clean on your own time. The door uses a smart lock (code is posted in your room) where you can access the Club House anytime during your stay. We also have games available for guests to use while staying; as well as some good books to get you through those long days at the beach. The Club House also provides a work station for guests to plug in and get some work done in between surf sessions. Just plug in and get to work; the numerous windows offer beautiful natural light, and a back porch to hang out on while your laundry is getting washed. The club house was built just for you; our guests. The Garden
The Island was planted in the middle of a tropical garden, and guests can enjoy seasonable fruit and vegetables as they ripen. Avocados, Mangos, Papayas, Bananas, and other delicious natural treats can be picked and enjoyed by guests while staying at the Island. As you walk the property, keep an eye out for tomatoes, green beans, and all types of herbs that can be added to your dinner freshly picked by you! The Fire Pit
Kick back and relax after a long day at the beach. Sit in our comfortable Adirondack chairs and enjoy a fireside chat with friends. The propane fire pit sparkles with blue and beach class collected from our favorite surfing beaches around the world. Hanging candelabras provide just enough light to see your family and friends say OMG. Listen to the beach breeze moving the wind chimes, as the waterfall soothes the soul. The Hot Tub
Even in Florida a Hot Tub can offer a soothing and relaxing way to end or start your day. Our Hot Tub has a flatscreen TV dedicated to entertaining you while you relax and unwind. After a day at the beach, you can calm your body in our new hot tub located in the garden of the Island short term rentals. The hot tub is simple and easy to use, and in the evenings can be a nice wind down after playing all day in Deerfield. All of our units have smart locks so you can gain entry at anytime. If you are checking in late, or love to lose your keys; you don’t have to worry at the Island. You will be provided a unique access code for your unit that will work for the duration of your stay. We also offer internal locks that you can use when inside for added security. This is not needed, but some guests like the extra layer of security when they are sleeping. The BBQ
Our Gas BBQ is centrally located between the fire pit and the Hot Tub, so the choice is yours… will you bbq while relaxing in chair by the fire, or in your bathing suit watching TV from the Hot Tub? Whatever you decide, just don’t forget to flip the steaks
The Composter
During your stay at the Island we invite you to add to our composter located in the rear of the property. Simply open the panel to the composter, and dump in your food waste. Give the handle a few turns to move the compost internally and your done! We use this compost to grow our local fruit and maintain a healthy garden. Thanks for composting at the Island. Boards are always fun to have at the Beach, so we have a community board rack at the Island. Some of our boards have been catching waves for years here in Deerfield Beach. Surf, Skim, Paddle, or Boogie… we have boards. If you want to use a board, they are free to borrow as long as you promise to shred. Butterflies & Fish Pond
To attract butterflies to the Island we hand selected specific butterfly plants that are both feeding and host plants for various types of butterflies. Milkweed, Firebush, and other native plants surround our fish pond, and the running waterfall offers a soothing vibe across the entire garden. Keep an eye out for local and exotic butterflies when you book at the Island. Things to do in Deerfield
Grocery stores, big box stores, fast food, quick serve and fine dining are minutes away from the Island. Visit Sullivan Park where you can play in the splash pad, or on one of the two shaded playgrounds for kids. Launch your SUP, or Kayak and paddle the intercostal’s flat waters for a day to remember. Love Pickle Ball? So do we, and Deerfield has a free Pickle Ball court a short bike ride down the beach. Tennis lovers can play at Deerfield Beach’s Tennis Center, less than a mile away, and there are numerous public golf courses in Broward and Palm Beach County. (Deerfield is on the boarder of Palm Beach/Boca Raton) The Island’s furnished beach rentals are near Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and Palm Beach Airports. These fully furnished beach rentals are all recently updated and are not posted on Zillow. You will be staying in a beach rental by yourselves, and your neighbors will also be short term renters staying at the Island. It is the perfect way to meet other like minded travelers from around the world; while maintaining your personal private rental; Fully furnished, with kitchen, and updated amenities. If you love to surf, Stand up Paddle, ocean Kayak or just float around in the ocean, the Island is the perfect location. You can walk to the beach, and the board rental stores to find the perfect fit for the surf conditions. Our surfing beaches, enjoy a sandbar break, and even an outside break in prime conditions. Some days are perfect for surfing waves, while other days (west wind days) can be a flatwater paradise; our ocean water clarity is among the best on the East coast, and when snorkeling you can spot different types of fish, and sea turtles. Deerfield Beach is the epicenter of the East Coast for Beach Volleyball, and competitive games for all levels of play take place every day.
