On a beautiful sunny afternoon in October I got a text from these two sweethearts saying they’d just gotten engaged and were having a picnic in the prairie! I zipped over and had SUCH a delightful time taking these engagement photos! So much laughter and joy and lots of love! Another senior, another session I loved! There were so many favorites from Kathleen’s session, I needed my family to help me narrow down to 10 to share here! This session was super collaborative, with me, Kathleen, and her mom spying spots for photos, tossing out ideas for poses and ideas to try, and talking about which ones we really liked. We LOVE this way of working, as it helps us create images that are unique to you, and that you love! Having you share photos you’ve seen and that you like is another really helpful way to have a good idea of what your hopes and dreams are for your session. Like we always say- we love getting to know you! And we’re so grateful that y’all choose SilverMoon over and over again! Thank you!

This was absolutely the sweetest sister session (plus a few extra senior photos for Brynn!) early one Saturday morning out at a place special to Brynn and Claire. Years go by and we want to hold onto those special times we’ve had and memories we’ve made. We love going to important places with you and creating photos together that capture connections and moments in your life! Families! We love photographing families, and we especially love getting those shots that really capture who folks are, as individuals and as a family. We donated a session to help fundraise for and lucky us, the Menke family won it! If this session had been any more fun, I don’t think I could’ve even kept my focus! Menke family, y’all were amazing, the weather was glorious, and the fall colors were peak. I really really hope we can to do this again soon! ❤️

I’m liking seeing these groupings of 9 squares! Just gonna keep sharing them sometimes! Back when Randi and I started SilverMoon about 20 years, we shot exclusively black and white film. We’d make these lovely little 9-frame square collages and really loved how they looked. Turns out they still look beautiful ❤️

I feel like a broken record about senior sessions and how much I love getting to know these seniors, but that’s because I really truly LOVE it! It’s so much fun to work together to take photos that catch who you are at this time in life!

Gabe’s photos were SO fun! I get goofy ideas sometimes and just toss them out there, like at Gabe’s session when I said “what if you jumped in the air while you’re playing your violin!” And he said “sure!” I love Gabe’s photos and the energy and performance he brought to them! Thanks for the idea of a new location, and for your playful spirit!
