I’m Miranda and I’m a village photographer in Atlanta, Georgia. I take photos of what life looks like, at home, in times of new life and in grief, at your office, at parties. I want my work to reflect the village that we’re all a part of.

I photograph local and small business events, birth, death, Thanksgiving dinners, walks in the park, birdwatching, jumping into piles of leaves in the front yard, and so much more.

Our next visit from the village is this sweet boy. I had the honor of capturing him and his dads engaging in the cultures of their home and family. There is so much love, laughter and freedom within those walls 🕯️🤍✨

As I step back into socials after my “summer off” I also am preparing to shift into a broader range of work.

Over the next few months I’ll be shifting gears into a model of “Village Photography”. I want my work to reflect the people and the world around me, from birth to death, from big moments to small. I want people to be able to view my portfolio and see the local bakery, a new mom from down the road, an elopement of a neighbor and the end of life of a stranger across town. The more work I did in birth the more I wanted to extend my fingers outside of that to various support systems, to other transitions and beyond.

This chapter has brought me so much clarity and joy. I can’t wait to share my summer projects with you all over the coming weeks as I gear toward the season of equinox and harvest.

I was lucky enough to be chosen by some beautiful friends to capture their elopement earlier this month. What a bright and sunny way to start this update!
