For the men
who shaped us.
A portrait is the most permanent thank-you there is.
I am slow to anger and quick to think because of my father. I take extreme pride in my work and carry patience in everything I do because of him. I respect women and carry myself as a gentleman because of him. My foundation in faith — because of him.
As his youngest son, I know what it means to be shaped by a man who showed up. This week, that feels even bigger. Juneteenth reminds us what our ancestors endured so men like my father could raise sons free to become who they were built to be. That's a legacy worth honoring twice over.
