There’s so much more that goes into photographing a proposal than just showing up with a camera. A little preparation makes all the difference in capturing the moment beautifully and without distraction.

Here are a few proposal tips to keep in mind:

✨ Do a walkthrough with the groom ahead of time to choose the perfect hiding spot and confirm the exact location where he will pop the question. It also helps to make sure he knows which direction to face when getting down on one knee.

✨ Use a telephoto lens so you can stay far enough away to avoid being spotted while still capturing every detail.

✨ Be mindful of your clothing and footwear. In the quiet moments of a proposal, even small noises can give you away.

✨ If you have your phone with you, be sure it's on silent during the session.

✨ Once she says yes, don't stop shooting. Some of the sweetest expressions happen just after the proposal, and those genuine reactions are moments the couple will cherish.

Proposals are such special moments, and it is always an honor to be trusted to capture them!💗
