The Rest of the Story - CLEM’S CLASSIC CAMERAS

CLEMENT F. COLONNESE 29 June 1942 - 25 December 2017

PART I

As a camera lover, experienced salesman and entrepreneur, Clem first opened his camera business in the downtown shopping district near his home in Deland, Florida. Experiencing success and wanting more, he moved his shop in 1992 to the famed Daytona Beach Flea & Farmer’s Market - a colossal hub of shopping activity drawing massive crowds every weekend. He spent the next 25 years building his business and enjoying visits with thousands of customers over the years, many of whom became lifelong friends. Clem’s Classic Cameras (CCC) is a landmark at the Market, with it’s own special following and always a ‘must see’ destination for camera lovers visiting the area from all over the country and beyond!

PART II.

Clem’s success and his strong attachment to the shop inspired two of his four children to carry CCC into the future - Clem’s Classic Cameras 2.0, here we go!

We’ve placed Russell Atwell, Clem’s friend and colleague, at the helm, using his vast camera knowledge and sales experience to help steer our way to many more satisfied customers. A graduate of DSC Southeast School of Photography, Russ has spent his entire career with cameras. His easy going style provides customers with everything they need and nothing they don’t want. He is dedicated to ensure you get what you’re after and you understand what you’re buying. Got technical questions? Ask! Need items we don’t have? Ask! Not sure what you need? Ask!

Michelle Colonnese (Flatley) grew up around the shop, learning first hand from Clem how to handle a camera and the blueprint to making good deals. She also followed in her mother Brenda’s footsteps, learning how to check and repair common problems with older film cameras. Currently exploring the world of digital repair, she hopes to bring new life to many castaways.

Suzanne Colonnese Parker shares her father’s entrepreneurial spirit and is no stranger to cameras. Clem made sure each of his kids had a camera in their hands from elementary school on and though Suzanne never developed the same attachment to photography that Clem did, she got hooked on the idea of private enterprise through her experiences helping with varied family businesses growing up.
