Anyone WhoâŚ
â˘
Anyone who has lost a loved one knows it is a very difficult thing to go through.
However, anyone who knows the truth about Christâs love knows that death isnât the end of oneâs life.
The groom here lost his mother (my aunt) a few months before his wedding.
I had a similar experience with my father. He passed away right after I got engaged to Katelyn.
One thing I leaned on heavily during the time leading up to him dying and the time following his death was Romans 8:28 which says âfor those who love God all things work together for goodâ. I trusted God would bring good out of it.
Sure enough, I witnessed my dadâs reversion to the Catholic faith at the end of his life. He went to confession for the first time in 10 years. He received an anointing of the sick. He received an apostolic pardon. And He received the Eucharist from his hospital bed. I have confidence He is now living in eternal paradise with Jesus.
Todayâs Gospel shows us that those who live in Christ truly never die. May we place our hope in this truth, that we may find peace, even amidst the loss of loved ones.

âI am the resurrection and the life;
whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live,
and anyone who lives and believes in me will never die.
Do you believe this?â
- John 11:25-26
