Getting in my feels because this sweet couple’s wedding day is almost here! 🥹 It feels like just yesterday we were wandering around Cincinnati for their engagement session, laughing the whole time and having the best adventure together.

One of my favorite parts of working with wedding couples is the engagement session. It’s such a special opportunity to connect, get comfortable in front of the camera, and spend time together before the big day. By the time the wedding arrives, it feels less like showing up to photograph clients and more like celebrating with friends. ❤️

Let’s be real. When winter hits and you’re stuck shooting indoors, a good studio can make or break your session. So in the spirit of not gatekeeping, here are my 3 favorite studios to rent in Dayton, OH. ❤️

1. My most rented studio is Arrowood. They have insanely detailed, rotating sets which my clients and I have LOVED. But they also always leave at least one classic white wall, so I know there’s a safe option if the sets are quite the vibe that day.

2. Figment. This one is a go-to if I’m looking for simple. Classic. And above all- natural light! This studio is the natural light queen since the entire studio front is frosted window. Lots of colorful backdrops, wood flooring and white walls.

3. I only recently discovered Studio in Dayton, but if you’re looking for a “hot girl” photoshoot, then this is 100% the place for that. Everything a girl could want- spotlights, props, stunning backdrops, even some costumes to play with!

With several feet of snow on the ground, Eian and Alina still said “let’s still do this”. My gentle reminder that if we’re shooting in the snow… we’re getting IN the snow. 😂
Cold noses, warm hearts, a whole lot of laughter—and one very important third wheel (hi Betty 🐴).
Would freeze my fingers off for moments like this every time 🤍
