It’s an awfully strange feeling when you have to leave Home to move “home”; saying goodbye to the place you grew up in to return to the people who raised you. ‘Bitter-sweet’ only begins to elucidate the emotions. My mind feels like the artwork a toddler leaves on an etch-a-sketch; teeming with questions fueled by fear and uncertainty.
Still, through the storm cloud it is necessary to keep moving with strength. Head up, shoulders back, chest out, one step after the other. It is hard. It will continue to be hard. But the chosen path must be pursued with efficacy.
It’s time to shake the etch-a-sketch. It’s time to trust God’s faithfulness. It’s time to focus on the potential that lies before me, and to seek it with fortitude.
Better days ahead.
