Founders Overlook off A-Frame Road.

On the mountain range to the left, you can see Timberline Mountain, along with a glimpse of Bald K**b and Canaan Valley Ski Resort. It's a unique experience to see the valley from this perspective, lengthwise instead of width-wise, and gives you a new appreciation for this distinctive landscape.

Middle Elakala Falls at Blackwater Falls State Park. This is the next level down from the iconic upper section the goes under the bridge. In my wonderful preparedness, I forgot my tripod's camera plate, but thankfully there were plenty of rocks to set my camera on.

A week ago I was down at Surfside Beach, SC for a little vacation. From the condo on my last night there (with a little help from a 400mm lens) I was able to see main Myrtle up the coast along with a Southwest Airlines plane coming in for a landing at dusk.
