So lucky to capture this sport 🌟🖤

A brief letter to derby during women’s history month:

While I’ve not been at it long, I can truly see how the spirit of bad ass women make this sport unlike anything else on earth. To be in a sport lead by women and fellow qu**rs, is one of the coolest things I’ve ever been a part of. And to be embraced by a community so powerful and soft at the same time is something I will cherish forever.

To me, derby feels inherently political. Spaces that are truly lead by women/queer folk for women/queer folk are few and far between. Generations of women haven’t been afforded the freedoms to showcase power and strength in such ways. To get to be part of a generation that gets to be so openly strong is really special.

I love being part of a sport that has so evolved to uplift under represented communities. Derby is the coolest. Women are the coolest. Qu**rs are the coolest.

Happy women’s history month. Pay your respects to your elder bad ass women this month.

First piece in the books 🫡

This was my first test piece trying to essentially do Lino cut digitally and I’m happy with how it turned out.

I did the same method I use while actually Lino cutting. Draw the design, then carve around my initial markings.

Only trying to do this method digitally, I have to go in and add the mistakes and character that make Lino cut what it is.

Anyways, happy with my first piece. I’ll be going through my Lino catalog and digitizing all my existing pieces.

Revamping this account.

I simply don’t use it anymore but I want it to be useful. I think I’m going to begin building a portfolio and applying for tattoo apprenticeships.

I’ve kicked it around for years but I think it’s time for a change and I need a career path.
