I have two passions: ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Babies and small businesses run by moms.

Being a mom and running a business is just a whole different beast than any other sort of combination. I'm not saying it's harder, better, more exhausting, less exhausting, more flexible, less flexible. But being a mom and running a business, usually means we're wearing all of the hats and it's a lot.

I'm pretty sure this kid is going to grow up to be a model. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​MAMAS, this is my PSA: DON'T stop photographing your babies after they turn a year old. I promise you, school photos will not do their little personality justice. It won't capture their little details, their personality, or their genuine smile.

My kiddos are 11, 9 and almost 6. We still do a yearly portrait session (albeit usually a few months late). You will notice the change from year to year.

So often as mamas we think we need to be fancy and do all of the things, but at the end of the day, your kids just want you. Love is in the air…right?!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​We’re not huge on Valentine’s Day around here.

My kids do have to bring Valentines to school, but let’s be honest…that has not been my main concern lately.

Evie gets to do something pretty cool as a 5th grader. She has the opportunity to participate in a contest decorating a Valentine’s Day box. And I am pretty sure Beckham’s class is having a party…but I don’t think Adalyn is doing anything…and truly, she is the one who is most excited about Valentine’s Day. Oh Adalyn.

What’s that saying, “Life is like a box of chocolates…”

So...the house doesn't look much different...​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Even though I feel like I've spent forever unpacking and organizing...

I suppose that's a lot like motherhood too. Just when you think you have a plan and you've got everything under control, a new phase begins. 🤣

It’s been almost 2 years. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​I get that building a house is a big undertaking, but I have to say, I wasn’t expecting this.

I guess that’s a lot like motherhood, huh? We think that things will be one way, and they usually end up being very, very different.

And yet somehow, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

The CWP studio might be done yet, but we are so close. I am so excited to have a dedicated space to help you document your most incredible moments. Whether they are exactly how you imagined things would be or it looks a whole lot different, CWP is here for you every step of the way.
