World 100 1989
Eldora Speedway
Next week is still one of the biggest I anticipate all year long. The World 100 has deep meaning for me and in my current capacity it is a privilege to be there and stand in front of Victory Lane.
This will be my 40th year of going to Eldora in September. My first was in 1986. It was the very first night race and I was captivated by seeing Jeff Purvis and the entire spectacle. The 1989 pics were the first time I took my cheap film camera. They’re nothing special but special to me now and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
In my opinion it is still greatest Late Model Race in the World. During my life as a race fan I’ve seen the greatest of all time. Next Saturday night we etch another driver into the history of the World 100.
