I think the reason I’ve started loving weddings again is because I’ve finally stopped trying to be the photographer for everyone.

The couples I work best with are usually the ones who start their inquiry with something like:

“We’re really awkward in photos.”

Perfect. 😂

Those are my people.

I love the couples who care more about spending time with their friends than following a 47-page wedding timeline. The ones who want beautiful photos but don’t want their entire day to feel like one giant photoshoot.

Give me the weird jokes, the good drinks, the questionable dance moves, the slightly unhinged wedding party, and the couple that’s genuinely excited to marry their best friend.

Those are the weddings I can’t wait to photograph.
