It was great to have Thompson home over Christmas break, so of course we took some photos.

A gorgeous but brisk day in Paris to visit the venerable Eiffel Tower, which isn't quite as tall as it seems. There are lots of carousels around the city. Many house boats line the Seine, which would make for a very cool Airbnb.

Lots of steps and hills today as we explored Paris' Montmarte district, where we are staying. Fun to see the artists at the Place du Tetre, drawing portraits of tourists and other artists selling their oil and watercolor works.
